Project Overview
About the Position
KTH Royal Institute of Technology is hiring a doctoral student to work on game-theoretic methods for multi-agent autonomous systems. The project develops decision-making frameworks in which multiple autonomous agents interact, compete or cooperate, using tools from game theory, optimisation and machine learning to design robust strategies under uncertainty.
The position is hosted by the Division of Decision and Control Systems in the Department of Intelligent Systems, which works at the intersection of control theory, optimisation and learning. The doctoral student will formulate multi-agent decision problems, develop theoretical results and validate methods on relevant application scenarios, with training through the division's graduate programme.
Candidate Profile
Applicants hold a master's degree in electrical engineering, applied mathematics, computer science or a related field, with strong foundations in probability, optimisation or control, and solid programming skills. Prior exposure to game theory or reinforcement learning is an advantage. Doctoral employment at KTH follows the university's salary ladder and includes access to structured doctoral courses and international research networks.
