Promovendus: Team en netwerk in de wijkverpleging (District Nursing Teams & Networks) - UMCG, Netherlands

Project Overview

About the Position

UMCG is recruiting a doctoral candidate for a project on teams and networks in district nursing (team en netwerk in de wijkverpleging). The research studies how nursing teams are organised in Dutch neighbourhood care, how professional networks around clients function, and how team composition and collaboration affect quality and continuity of care at home.

The project combines qualitative fieldwork with quantitative analysis of care-organisation data, working closely with district nursing providers and municipal health actors. The candidate will interview professionals, observe team practices, analyse network structures and contribute to design recommendations for the rapidly changing Dutch home-care sector. The position is a salaried PhD track under the CAO-UMC collective agreement.

Candidate Profile

Applicants hold a master's degree in nursing science, health sciences, organisational science or a related discipline, and have an interest in health-services and workforce research. Because the fieldwork runs in Dutch district nursing organisations, fluency in Dutch is required for interviews and observations, while reporting and publication take place in English. The doctoral training runs through the UMCG's graduate programme with a supervisory team spanning health services research and organisational sociology.
